The series has repeatedly ballooned, and while lightning struck with Odyssey, the largest games in the series tend to be bloated, slow, and crammed with dull filler. It has been clear for a while that Ubisoft doesn’t quite know what to do with Assassin’s Creed. And imagine my despair when it turned out to be a Webtoon comic. Imagine my joy when a sequel for it was recently announced then. I’ve always liked pirates (had I been a noble in the 17th century, I might feel differently), and Black Flag is the perfect sized Assassin’s Creed game for me, so it has my heart.

I don’t think it’s the best, that honor belongs to either Assassin’s Creed 2 or Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, depending on what you’re looking for, but Black Flag will always be the most special to me. Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag is my favourite Assassin’s Creed game.
